2 week Begginer Agate Accent light class
(Sat, Aug 8th 2020 - Sat, Aug 15th 2020)
All Phase 1 and social distancing guidelines are in place!
Minimum of 3 students - maximum of 6. This is a 2-day beginner course in handcrafting a stained glass and agate accent lamp. Sessions will meet from 11:00 - 2:00 pm on Saturday August 8th and 15th.. Students will get a brief overview of the history, design, methods and techniques used in designing and creating stained glass patterns. Students will complete an accent lamp while using their choice of color pallet incorporated a sliced agate and glass beads. Students learn hands on. Using a prepared pattern, students are instructed on a step by step approach to; selecting glass color/texture, and “cutting” (scoring) glass, foiling, staging/flux and tack, and soldering their light. Finally, cleaning, finishing, lighting and displaying the light.
Instructor will furnish all tools and supplies needed to complete the light to include a wood stand and night light fixture.
